About SciAnno Mosaics
Innovating Bioinformatics for a More Accessible Future in Science
Our Story
SciAnno Mosaics was founded in 2023 with the mission to make functional gene annotation more accessible to researchers working on non-model organisms. The idea was born from our founder’s background in systems biology, where they faced challenges in gene annotation due to the lack of standardized systems across plant species.
Our founder's journey into computational biology led them to create SciAnno Mosaics—a team of scientists and creatives who work together to provide innovative solutions to complex biological questions. We leverage cutting-edge tools, like Jack and Nota, to help scientists gain deeper insights into gene functions and gene expression.
Mission & Values
At SciAnno, we believe that scientific research should be accessible to everyone. We strive to make bioinformatics tools that reduce barriers for researchers from diverse backgrounds, allowing them to explore gene expression and annotate their datasets without needing expensive or complex software
-
Making gene annotation tools available to everyone, regardless of their model organism or funding
-
Fostering interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration to drive innovation.
-
Continuously improving our tools to stay ahead in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics
